Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss and partner Divya Narendra have decided to drop their long-running legal dispute with Facebook and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and accept their $65 million settlement.

The twins and Narendra, classmates of Zuckerberg at Harvard, announced last month it would ask the U.S. Supreme Court hear their case against the social-networking giant and its co-founder. However, in a filing today with the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, they said that "after careful consideration," they would not file their petition with the Supreme Court.

Facebook applauded the decision to drop the case.

I am grateful to The Baltimore Sun for offering this story which begins with revenge, has porn in the middle, and whose denouement is played out in court.

Powell, you see, was reportedly fired in 2009. He wasn't very happy about this, so began to … Read more

According to the Associated Press, Valdez held the woman in a motel in Ogden, Utah. While he was there, he used Facebook to send messages to his friends and his family.

Sony's music comeback story needs third act

Sony's music comeback story needs third act

Sony's quest to return to a position of power in the music sector already faced plenty of obstacles.

A reputation for writing flawed software was one. Another was the company's history of creating failed consumer-focused media services that appeared more concerned with satisfying honchos at the company's film studio and record label. The company's hardware and software makers struggled to build devices and services that allayed security concerns held by content creators.
