Networking gear maker 3Com has opened a new research facility in India to develop software, mainly for Internet telephony.
In opening the center, Marlborough, Mass.-based 3Com joins networking companies such as Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks, which already have facilities in India. 3Com had announced plans for the center, which is in Hyderabad, in April. It officially opened Thursday, the company said.
