Securing a network at a hacker conference is always a challenge. All the cables shown here connect to different security appliances from sellers including NitroSecurity, Vernier Networks and Network Chemistry. In all, six different suppliers provided security tools for the volunteers who managed the network to try out. One day, the domain name server came under repeated attack and the wireless network had some hiccups. Overall, it appears the network held up nicely.
