Ghost

Security company MessageLabs commissioned Romanian artist Alex Dragulescu to create visual representations of Internet viruses, trojans, and worms. MessageLabs provides Dragulescu with the original code of the malware, and using the particulars of each program, he "computes" an image.

Each image corresponds with the structure of the viral code and other elements of programming. These representations show some interesting patterns common to malware code. An earlier News.com gallery of Dragulescu's spam-based art can be found here: "Turning spam into art"

Ghost is a piece of spyware which logs keystrokes and screen shots from its victim.
