Microsoft had a few of the prototype Windows Phone 7 Series devices on display at its booth at the Mix10 conference in Las Vegas this week, but it wasn't letting attendees hold or touch them.
While conference goers didn't leave with one of the devices, Microsoft did release a free Windows-based emulator and tools for developers to start writing their Windows Phone apps.
