Dashboard can monitor energy and water use by institutions and commercial buildings. The interface is designed to describe resources in concrete terms, such as dollars, trees, or carbon emissions.
A touchscreen kiosk with Lucid's dashboard is at the Yahoo headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif. Lucid, which is based in Oakland, isn't focusing on services for single-family homes, but its displays indicate the types of information gradually becoming available to homeowners.
