TV heaping costs onto the electrical bill? Plugging it into the $25 Kill A Watt will show an instant tally in dollars. Its maker, the New York-based P3 International, just released an eight-outlet power strip surge protector for $100.
Within the next few months, the company's next release will be a wireless Kill A Watt that would read data transmitted wirelessly from up to eight connected appliances, providing estimates of carbon footprints in addition to costs.
