Like the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif., the D.C. office's reception area sports flat screens featuring real-time search queries, Google Earth demonstrations, and a globe depicting Google activity radiating from each geographic region, with every color corresponding to a different language.

Those bubbly wall panels, which appear throughout the space, are made of nontoxic, recyclable materials. The carpet is made of 25 percent recycled nylon fiber.
