Photos: Oh Christmas tree, oh LED tree

The Norway spruce in Rockefeller Center is using 30,000 LEDs strung on 5 miles of wire, according to officials in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's office. The bulbs are expected to save as much electricity per day as a single family in a 2,000-square-foot home uses in a month, they said.
