Photos: Oh Christmas tree, oh LED tree

The National Christmas Tree, a Colorado blue spruce, is decorated with 20,280 LEDs; each bulb is about the size of a fingertip, according to The Washington Post. Not only are the multicolored lights in the branches LEDs, but so are the red lights in the garland and the white lights on the star topper, The Post said.
