Images: Making wind power that lasts all day

General Compression's goal is to have its "dispatchable wind turbines" used in different situations. Wind power on demand can be used to meet peak demand, to supplement or "firm up" an existing wind farm, or to meet the on-site power needs of a large consumer, such as a factory or other industrial plant. On-site power generation gets around the cost and regulatory hurdles of transmitting power long distances.
