Finished bioplastic pellets shoot out directly into a box that will be sealed and sent to a manufacturer, known as a converter.

Converters use a variety of processes to manipulate the bioplastic to make packaging and other goods. Thermoforming makes plates and to-go containers; injection molding creates cups and utensils; and blow molding manufactures bottles.
