Photos: Cities go green

Austin, Texas, is considered one of the most progressive in terms of tackling climate change. Its mayor, Will Wynn, boasts of his $27 electric bill. The municipal power company, Austin Power, has a number of clean energy and efficiency programs, including a green building and plug-in hybrid program.

Here is a canopy with solar cells outside Austin City Hall, a LEED-certified Green Building.
