GE gets charged up about batteries

Herman Wiegman, an electrical engineer at GE's Electrical Power and Propulsion Systems Lab, inside an early version of the all-electric Think car. There are several thousand individual cells in the A123 Systems' battery pack and it charges in about eight hours. GE is engineering the overall system and is testing that the batteries meet specifications.
