A look at the storage tanks used in conjunction with the Nuvera generator. Nuvera stores hydrogen as compressed gas while BMW has a system for storing hydrogen in liquid form.
Using a natural gas-to-hydrogen generator is far more energy-efficient than electroylzers, which are used in some hydrogen refilling stations, according to Wes Hansen, the lead systems engineer at Nuvera. An electrolyzer splits hydrogen from water using electricity.
