Photos: Road Trip 2008 spans the South

The John Ross Bridge, in Chattanooga, Tenn., is also known colloquially as the Market Street Bridge. It is a bascule-style bridge, meaning that it is a movable bridge balanced by counterweights. The bridge first opened to traffic in 1917.
