Photos: A century of tanks

This M60A1 105mm-gun medium tank was used by the U.S. Army just before the Gulf War and was involved in training Marines for tank operations. It weighed 105,000 pounds, had a top speed of 30 mph and could go for 300 miles. It had a M68 105mm rifled main gun, an M73 7.62mm machine gun, an M85 .50 caliber machine gun, and two smoke grenade projectors.
