This bundle of bats has Yankees star Alex Rodriguez's signature on them. But they're not meant for Rodriguez to use in games. Rather, they are souvenir bats the Yankees will sell to fans.
That means they are not quite up to the quality demanded by major league players.
Each bat, whether it's for the major leagues or some other level of baseball, comes out of the CNC machine with what are called "nubs" and "pegs" at either end. Those must be cut off and the knob and barrel end sanded.
