Using the Apache simulator

On Road Trip 2008, CNET News.com reporter Daniel Terdiman stopped Monday at Lockheed Martin's Simulation, Training and Support facility in Orlando, Fla.

The facility is built around designing military simulation trainers for the U.S. and some foreign governments. Part of the idea is to provide soldiers with realistic digital training for the combat situations they are likely to find themselves in during battle in Iraq or Afghanistan. During the last few years, nearly 100,000 soldiers have been trained at the facility.

Here, Terdiman gets some training on an Apache helicopter simulator.
