Photos: A Bay Bridge for all seasons

Caltrans is using these gazebos to set the foundation for the self-anchored suspension section of the bridge's new eastern side. The foundation will consist of 13 "piles," each of which will be 10 feet in diameter and go 200 feet down into the bedrock of the San Francisco Bay.
