The gadget

A replica of "the gadget," the atomic device exploded at the Trinity site in the New Mexico wilderness on July 16, 1945. The bomb was designed by the Manhattan Project and built in Los Alamos, N.M. The replica is in the Bradbury Science Museum, the official museum of the Los Alamos National Lab.
