Also on display is a replica of the weapon casing of Little Boy, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The first atomic bomb ever used in war, it exploded 1,800 feet over Hiroshima and killed between 70,000 and 130,000 people immediately. The bomb was dropped by a B-29 Superfortress named Enola Gay, which was piloted by U.S. Army Air Force Col. Paul Tibbets.
