Photos: Tech visions of future from NextFest

The disco of the future might get its lighting from activity on the cellular network, if this art project takes off. The Cell Phone Disco, shown here, is a surface that "visualizes the electromagnetic field of an active mobile phone," according to its creator, Information Lab. The installation includes several thousand sensors connected to an LED, which lights up when an electromagnetic field is present.
