U.K.-based D3o Lab has developed a polymer-based material that is flexible to wear but strong enough to withstand a beating...literally. The wearer in this Spider-Man-style suit could fall to the ground or take a blow from a shovel to the stomach without feeling the pain, according to the company. That's because the material steels up on impact. The polymer, which looks like Silly Putty in raw form, complements a whole line of D3o's wearable garb, including motorcycle gloves and soccer shin guards. The company hopes to start selling it to police departments and the military.
