The press release wars at an air show are all about the numbers, and how you slice and dice them. They're also focused on claims about being on the forefront of generational leaps and bounds.
At Farnborough, Northrop Grumman said that its E-2D Advanced Hawkeye System Development and Demonstration Program has completed its 125th test flight. This picture shows the first E-2D Advanced Hawkeye during its maiden flight in August 2007.
The aircraft, Northrop Grumman says, is the "next generation of airborne early warning systems" and represents a "two-generational leap in radar technology."
