The A2 would use the company's Scimitar engine design, which incorporates existing gas turbine, rocket, and subsonic ramjet technology. It derives from Reaction Engines' Saber space plane engine, but would make use of lightweight heat exchangers in the main thermodynamic cycles, according to the company.
