Find the comet. Comet Holmes should be visible for the next few weeks on a clear night in the evening. It's located in the Perseus constellation. The easiest way to find it is to look northeast and spot the Cassiopeia constellation, which looks like a "W" standing on end. Stretch your arm, and Perseus, where you'll find Comet Holmes, will be one and a half fists to the lower right. As it gets later, the comet will get higher in the sky.

To the naked eye, the comet should look like a star but it will look fuzzy when observed through binoculars or a telescope.
