Astronaut Sunita Williams raced in this year's Boston Marathon at over 18,000 miles per hour--and kept dry. Williams ran the 26-plus mile race on a treadmill aboard the International Space Station. She was the only racer who was strapped down to the track--or treadmill--fighting gravity. The other participants in Monday's race ran the streets leading to Boston in pouring rain against winds of 20 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.
NASA says Williams finished the marathon in about 4 hours and 24 minutes. Williams qualified for the race by finishing the Houston Marathon in 3 hours, 29 minutes and 57 seconds.
