Images: Mysterious hexagon spotted on Saturn

Here's another view of the hexagon. The north polar region of Saturn is amid its 15-year winter period so the hexagon will not see daylight for several more years. Cassini used its infrared mapping spectrometer, which can image Saturn in both daytime and nighttime conditions and see deep inside.
