The Jovian moon Ganymede is the largest satellite in the solar system. This photo, taken by New Horizons on February 27 from 2.2 million miles away, shows dark areas of ancient terrain and light areas made up of younger materials. Newer craters resulted in huge fields of ice across the surface of the moon, the bright spots.
