Photos: Rockets, space elevators aim at X Prize Cup

The solar panels on the British Columbia team's climber are reversible--face up, they draw power from the sun, and face down, from an arc lamp. On Saturday, the team tried both methods. Wind gusts, however, made it difficult to climb the tether.
