Photos: A look at the Red Planet

Steven Squyres, the principal scientific investigator for the Mars exploration rovers Spirit and Opportunity, shows attendees at the RSA Conference 2006 a photo of Adirondack, the rock selected to be Spirit's first target. The rock was named Adirondack because of its mountain-like shape.
