The AMNH was once known for exhibits like this one about the ecology of New York state: stuffed animals and artifacts arranged and displayed behind glass walls. (In the movie Night at the Museum, which was set in a fictional museum based on the AMNH, plenty of those glass walls got shattered.) Many of these exhibits are gradually being renovated to bring them up to speed with 21st century technology and an increased demand for interactive features like touch-screen activities.
