Last year, DaimlerChrysler showed off a concept car modeled after the tropical boxfish, whose coral reef and lagoon habitat requires it to have speed and agility for survival. A team of engineers and scientists mimicked the musculature and cube shape of the fish to develop a car that is agile and aerodynamic, with a protective outer core. According to the company, the concept car improves the drag coefficient of today's compact cars by more than 65 percent.
