Photos: Looking for land mines

The MineStalker from Niitek, of Sterling, Va., is a small remote-controlled vehicle that uses GPR and other sensors to look for land mines. A smaller version called the MiniStalker can be mounted on a tracked platform from iRobot. This MineStalker is on patrol in the Cunene Province of southern Angola (note the rusted tank at right).
