Photos: Personal robots jump-start an industry

Evolution Robotics has partnered with WowWee to give three consumer robots technology that uses triangulation to figure out positioning relative to infrared light spots projected onto a ceiling from the robot in indoor settings.

Here, at the RoboDevelopment conference held in October in San Jose, Calif., WowWee and Evolution Robotics showed off a different kind of dinosaur robot prototype, one that is not quite as friendly-looking as Ugobe's Pleo.
