Photos: Salamander robot travels by land and sea

A work in progress. This picture shows the robot partially put together.

The goal of the project was to demonstrate locomotion at different speeds, directions and gaits; to qualitatively compare the various methods of travel in real salamanders; and to demonstrate the diversity of motion that robots with multiple articulated joints can achieve.
