The front grill of Junior includes two Ibeo lidar, which scan the landscape as far as 200 meters out. Montemerlo said that in final condition, Junior will have the Ibeo lidar placed inside the frame of the vehicle underneath the grill so as to protect the scanning devices from damage or dust.
