White Box Robotics also sells the 9-Series PC-BOT Development Platform for $3,995. It is basically the 914 model sans the plastic body panels. According to White Box, this model is primarily being sold to schools.

Like iRobot's Roomba and Scooba, PC-BOTs practice object avoidance. PC-BOTs have eight infrared sensors that help them avoid obstacles. The robots can be navigated by joystick, mouse or keyboard.

A PC-BOT can move autonomously following preset paths, or it can go into "explore" mode, in which it avoids obstacles and stairs all on its own.
