OLED light emission
The lightbulb of the future? This is a transparent OLED designed at GE's Global Research Center. Researchers are trying to improve the amount of light these OLEDs emit (they currently emit 30 lumens per watt) and reduce the costs of manufacturing. The idea is that these strips, made in a printing process, can replace overhead incandescent bulbs or lightbulbs in fixtures.
