Another twist on concentrating solar power. Ausra is a start-up which announced on Monday that it has raised $40 million in venture funding. Its core technology is its Compact Linear Fresnel Reflector (CLFR), a glass-covered collector that is not as curved as a trough but can still focus light onto a liquid-carrying tube.
