The sunny living room creatively reuses natural materials. Tree branches double as curtain rods. Outside, shipping containers are used for an office and tool shed.
"There's not a whole lot of difference between a designer prefab and a trailer," Sklar said. "It's the difference between $200 per square foot or more as opposed to $50 per square foot."
With natural hot springs on their property, he and Tremayne have 108 degree Fahrenheit water piped into their tub. They plan to add a 20-person soaking tub for future guests of the Green Acre Hotel that they're building on the site.
