Photos: A modular solar home takes root

These houses are built at the factory and delivered in eight pieces. Even the concrete foundation is prepoured. Space is left for lighting (compact fluorescent bulbs that conserve energy) as well as for plumbing and wiring. Construction of this two-unit house will take about two months.
