Energy Innovations is currently testing a concentrating solar power system designed specifically for commercial flat rooftops. It magnifies the light 800 times via a Fresnel lens that focuses light onto high-efficiency solar cells. It has a specially designed tracking system and aluminum fins that help air flow to cool off the lenses. A small traditional solar panel (seen on right) powers a motor for its tracking system.
