The Internet and word of mouth are helping home buyers learn about green real estate professionals, such as those at Green Key in San Francisco. In the past several years, green realty firms have also cropped up in New York and Seattle.
More real estate agents seeking a sustainable angle also are pursuing EcoBroker certification or accreditation through LEED, the Leadership in Energy Efficiency and Design program run by the nonprofit U.S. Green Building Council.
