Photos: Austin builds on green concepts

Construction of the hospital had a very high recycling rate--at 98.6 percent--for the 10 million pounds of material used. Builders segregated debris in different dumpsters and then recycled it. Most materials were found from within 500 hundred miles of the medical center's site, another factor in green-building certification.
