This is the winner of last year's Eco-marathon Americas, the Curb Hopper from Cal Poly. The internal combustion vehicle logged a remarkable 1,902.7 miles per gallon on the racetrack.

The winner of the first-ever Eco-marathon logged a somewhat more modest 50 mpg. See Photos: 1,000 miles per gallon or bust.
