General Motors also unveiled the 2009 Pontiac Vibe, which will be available in early 2008. It's basically a new version of an old favorite.

The car will be offered in a base model with a 1.8-liter engine that makes 132 horsepower and gets about 32 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive version comes standard with a 2.4-liter engine that makes 158 horsepower and gets 26 mpg on the highway. Buyers can also opt to add the 2.4-liter engine to the base model. There is also a GT model with the bigger engine that offers a five-speed manual transmission as an option.
