The Design Trust for Public Space put together Taxi 07 Exhibit, a showcase of taxi prototypes and concepts, at the New York International Auto Show in celebration of the New York taxi's 100th anniversary. The show opens Friday to the public in conjunction with the official opening of the car show.
The internal combustion engine of the Standard Taxi, shown here, can be converted to run on natural gas and hold an extralarge tank in its trunk so drivers don't have to waste time filling up during their shift.
