Photos: Cars for the stars at LA Auto Show

For the first time, BMW shows off its new Hydrogen7, a hydrogen-powered fuel-cell vehicle. The car has hydrogen and gas tanks, and can switch between them.

The Hydrogen7 runs on liquid hydrogen which needs to be kept at 250 degrees Celsius to retain its form. Gas is pumped into a tank that's designed like a giant thermos to keep it ready for cool running.
